This 33 page geometry review package can be used as an assessment at the end of a unit, for fun
activities during the unit or even as a review at the end of the year.
This package of 8 geometry review math centers addresses various topics in geometry:
-parallel, perpendicular and intersecting lines
-area of a triangle
-area of a parallelogram
-area of a circle
-circumference of a circle
-drawing and classifying triangles (right triangle, equilateral triangle and isosceles triangle)
-drawing and classifying angles (acute, obtuse, right and straight)
-bisecting angles and lines
In the centers, students will be drawing designs, measuring the circumference of actual circular objects, using tangram blocks, measuring and drawing angles, triangles and lines, stretching what they know about area formulas to find the areas of other shapes (like a hexagon) and writing their own questions about geometric concepts for their classmates to answer.
These centers are fun and are great for KT and visual learners especially.
All topics are not addressed in all centers, so if you haven't gotten to one of the topics, you can just eliminate that center or replace it with one of your own.
I've included the center sheets themselves, a list of materials, solutions to the centers and various samples to help you and the students see the expectations of the centers more clearly.
Please download the FREE PREVIEW for one activity, complete with solutions and a student sample. Also I've included a thumbnail view of every page of the document.
