This SCOOT activity is a get-up-and-move around activity that will allow your students to move around the room and record their answers to various geometry tasks on a recording sheet. Using the answer key at the back, you can quickly see which of your students have mastered the standards. This can be used as a review, a post-assessment, or even a pre-assessment to see what students know before the unit starts.
Georgia standards* covered:
MCC2.G.1: Recognize and draw shapes having specified attributes, such as a given number or angles or a given number of equal faces. Identify triangles, quadrilaterals, pentagons, hexagons, and cubes.
*This is the Georgia standard number, but the standard is a national one, so this activity can be used across the United States in Common Core classrooms.
