Product Description
This resource was created to be used in 3rd grade and aligned to the Math Expressions curriculum (we adopted the curriculum in 2009 and used the most recent edition that was out at that time). Grades above and below 3rd grade may find it useful as well, but please read the description and view the preview before purchasing.

*Scoot games are an engaging way to introduce, practice, or review a range of skills. In this resource, students will have the opportunity to show understanding on the following skills:

-Lines of symmetry and diagonals
-Congruency vs. Similarity
-Naming polygons
-Naming triangles by angles and sides
-Naming angles
-Naming parts to angles
-Naming triangles by their labeled vertices

The cards in the Scoot game are all mixed up so students have a mixture of skills related to angles and polygons. The Scoot game comes with 2 different recording pages: 1 is one sided (limited room to show work, but all the questions are visible) the other is 2 sided (provides more room for showing work, but requires students to flip to the back). Directions on how to play Scoot is included in the preview.

*Use these cards as task cards as well! The task card version has the exact same problems, but are numbered differently and divided into 3 colors to differentiate the difficulty of the skills.
-Pink cards are typically simpler skills (#1-10)
-Blue cards are typically a bit more complicated skills (#11-20)
-Green cards are typically the most challenging and often have the skill placed in a real world context (#21-30)

There is a recording sheet for each color. This allows you to select which type of skill a student may work on and the recording sheet will match their needs. There is also a mixed recording sheet, which includes all 3 levels of difficultly.

Use these cards as a formative assessment to see what your students know before you begin to teach, use them as individual practice opportunities based on their understanding, or use as a final assessment or review before the test!
