Product Description
This pack contains 56 cards to help your students learn and practice up to 28 geometric 2-D and 3-D shapes and their 28 real life counterparts.

There are 8 cards per page. They show 4 shapes and 4 matching real life examples.

The shapes on the earliest pages are those prescribed within the common core for kindergarten. As the pages progress, shapes for higher grades are added--to cover grades from KG to 3rd--or for a 4th grade review. A few additional shapes are also included. Pick and choose those shapes you prefer to use for your class :)

3 games can be played with these cards! - Pairs (match the shape with its real life example), Taboo (describe the shape without using its name) and the Yes & No game (players ask questions to guess the shape where the answer can only be yes/no)

Shapes included are:

Page 1: Square, Triangle, Rectangle, Circle
Page 3: Cylinder, Cone, Hexagon, Cube
Page 5: Pyramid, Sphere, Star, Oval
Page 7: Trapezoid, Half Circle, Open Circle, Quarter Circle
Page 9: Rectangular Prism, Triangular Prism, Kite, Pentagon
Page 11: Rhombus, Irregular Polygon, Parallelogram, Hexagonal Prism
Page 13: Heptagon, Octagon, Nonagon, Decagon

Alternate (even) pages provide different colored reverse sides to the cards.

The Taboo and Yes & No game encourage students to describe shape features verbally. Key word cards are therefore included as an aid to student vocabulary whilst playing the games.

A range of 4 different key word cards are provided, again designed to begin at kindergarten level and progress from there. Choose the cards appropriate for your class /individual students. Or print out the blank key words cards and hand write your own/ have students suggest words before the start of the game and record them on the cards.
