I created these task cards to review what my third graders learned during our geometry unit. As you know, students are expected to retain a lot of old and new vocabulary in the unit and it can begin to feel overwhelming. I wanted to create a fun and versatile way to review. My students record their responses on white boards (because third graders LOVE white boards) but you could also have your students use notebook paper or their math notebooks.
This product can be used the following ways:
*print on card stock and laminate for durability, if you choose
*whole group: you or a student draws a card and reads it to the class, all students record their responses, then check for understanding
*math centers or stations: in pairs or groups of 3 students get a bag of cards, draw one from the bag and record their responses on their boards or paper
*guided math group: each student draws a card then they take turns reading it to the group, each student must record their responses for each card, check for understanding by discussing student responses
*fourth and fifth grade teachers could use this as a beginning-of-the-year review before teaching new geometry concepts
*3 blank cards are included so you can create your own if you would like
I hope this activity helps to brighten up your geometry unit!
