### Description

These geometry task cards include 32 task cards that cover lines, angles, polygons, area and perimeter. A student recording sheet, answer key, and one-page (6 question) quick assessment are included. I recently upgraded all of my math task cards to include a digital, self-grading version of the quick assessment using Google Forms™!

Here are the cards included:

Cards 1-8: Identify the polygon (parallelogram, right triangle, octagon, rectangle, hexagon, trapezoid, square, pentagon).

Cards 9-12: Identify the type of angle (acute, obtuse, right, straight).

Cards 13-18: Identify the type of line (line, line segment, ray, parallel/perpendicular/intersecting lines).

Cards 19-24: Find the area/find the length of the missing side.

Cards 25-30: Find the perimeter/find the length of the missing side.

Cards 31-32: How many lines of symmetry?

Recognize a line of symmetry for a two-dimensional figure as a line across the figure such that the figure can be folded along the line into matching parts. Identify line-symmetric figures and draw lines of symmetry.
Draw points, lines, line segments, rays, angles (right, acute, obtuse), and perpendicular and parallel lines. Identify these in two-dimensional figures.
Understand that shapes in different categories (e.g., rhombuses, rectangles, and others) may share attributes (e.g., having four sides), and that the shared attributes can define a larger category (e.g., quadrilaterals). Recognize rhombuses, rectangles, and squares as examples of quadrilaterals, and draw examples of quadrilaterals that do not belong to any of these subcategories.
Apply the area and perimeter formulas for rectangles in real world and mathematical problems. For example, find the width of a rectangular room given the area of the flooring and the length, by viewing the area formula as a multiplication equation with an unknown factor.
Solve real world and mathematical problems involving perimeters of polygons, including finding the perimeter given the side lengths, finding an unknown side length, and exhibiting rectangles with the same perimeter and different areas or with the same area and different perimeters.
