This is a task on the concept of polygon measures and the Polygon Angle-sum Theorem.
This is a 5 page team task. In this task students will take turns as "Team Mathematician" and "Student Teacher".
Students will be "Student Teacher, through guided questions using the Polygon Angle-sum Theorem and triangulation.
Students will find angle measures and justify their reasoning. Students will explain how they determined their reasoning in complete sentences.
* This task will have your classroom rich in mathematical discourse.
** My team task are created to be work in groups of 4. Each student is a team member: Team Member (A), Team Member (B), Team Member (C), Team Member (D). Each team member is required to participate regularly through the task as Team Mathematician. My cooperative learning team task require the student to be actively involved through out the entire task. Team Mathematician alternates throughout the task. My team tasks are designed to elicit mathematical discourse within the teams.
Included are blackline masters and students samples with an answer key.
