This is the second of two lessons that I teach on tessellations. This is a topic done poorly in exams mainly because students do NOT know what it is ...
I have created two lessons designed for KS3 to address that. I don't know why teachers skip it, there are so many cross-curricular links especially with Art and above all... it is a fun lesson/topic. Pupils love it! There is a lot of material with this lesson (22 slides) and teaches pupils how to create tiles that tessellate from squares and again using squares to create shapes that look like real life animals etc.. that tessellate like M.C. Escher.
