This card sort is designed in order to review Translations, Reflections, and Rotations of triangles and their notations. The card sort consists of thirty cards.
This activity pushes students to see patterns in a transformation's notation, description, and graph. Students are asked to find eight groups of three. Each group must accurately represent a transformation's notation, description, and graph. Lastly, to make the task a little more difficult, there are six extra cards that do not have a match.
This card is a great activity to foster student to student discourse and presents a great opportunity to have class discourse over all thirty cards.
The format is designed such that students would not know the answers as they cut out the cards at the beginning of class.
