### Description

These are second grade geometry centers that covers 2.GA. 3 in depth. It looks at different ways to practice using fractions. The centers are engaging and fun for students to use.

These are a variety of math centers that can be used as task cards and whole group activities to reinforce these concepts with your kiddos. They focus on bringing in manipulatives and having students think critically about creating and partitioning shapes. There are options to use counting bears, geoboards or other manipulatives during this unit.

Standard:

-2.GA.3 - Partition circles and rectangles into two, three, or four equal shares, describe the shares using the words halves, thirds, half of, a third of, etc., and describe the whole as two halves, three thirds, four fourths. Recognize that equal shares of identical wholes need not have the same shape.
