Using cm cubes is a great way to introduce volume to your students! This double set of task cards begins with pictures of 3D regular shapes built with centimeter cubes. Students use the cubes to determine volume. They can count the height, width, and length, and then multiply OR you can have your students use actual cm cubes to build the given figures, then count for volume. The second set of cards are more traditional, giving your students a line drawn figure with measurements for length, height, and width. Students then multiply to get the volume.
Task cards are great for whole group activities such as Scoot or Jeopardy games; read around the room; small group centers or workstations, or independent practice.
Also included are 4 worksheets for extra practice!
