A different way to look at 2-dimensional objects!
Students identify polygons in the first branch of shapes, while the second branch of shapes details different types of quadrilaterals. This allows students to easily see that all 4 sided figures are quadrilaterals, yet may also have a special name such as a square or a rectangle. You can go further and have students identify each quadrilateral as a parallelogram or not.
