Here’s a simple slide show on George Washington - one that 1st, 2nd and 3rd graders will find easy to understand. I know how hard it is to find something that students on a primary level can relate to, because as a teacher I’ve tried to do just that when holidays like President’s Day or Black History Month roll around. So I decided to put some slideshows together myself that my students will enjoy, and that I know will give them great visuals plus the basic information they need. This unit includes three and a half pages of detailed notes on the 22 slides I’ve put together. The notes are available as a PDF - feel free to use as much of the information as your class can take in. The slideshow is available as an Apple Keynote, a Microsoft PowerPoint and a QuickTime Movie. (Note QuickTime Movie may not play without additional software.) And, please, check back to TPT to see the slideshows on Abraham Lincoln, Martin Luther King, and other historical figures which I will be downloading.
