PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Gifted Strategy. This Individualized Lesson Plan fits with Social Studies Georgia, but can be used with all others. All students will have read to them biographies about George Washington Carver during Social Studies and/or Language Arts read aloud time. The class will discuss Carver’s inventions, contributions to our country and everyday lives, and how he is similar to them (the students). Each student will choose one of the activities. to complete.

Students select an activity to complete which best fits their learning style: Visual, Verbal, Kinesthetic, or Technological.

The Individualized Lesson Plan template is a gifted strategy created by Carolyn Coil.

Common Core Standards:
ELACC1W2 Write informative/explanatory texts in which they name a topic, supply some facts about the topic, and provide some sense of closure.
ELACC1W7 Participate in shared research and writing projects.
SS1E3The student will describe how people are both producers and consumers.
SS1H1 The student will read about and describe the life of historical figures in American history.
SS1CG1 The student will describe how the historical figures in SS1H1 display positive character traits of fairness, respect for others, respect for the environment, conservation, courage, equality, tolerance, perseverance, and commitment.
