This lesson will cover Washington's Presidency as required by the TEKS (Texas). The presentation is accompanied by questions which require students to interact with primary sources, charts and a video. As the students complete a section they will answer a repeating question each slide. Once the presentation questions are complete, they will write an essay (another document provided in this lesson bundle). The essay prompt is the same as the repeated question they answered for every slide. They will be required to provide evidence to support their response.
The presentation specifically covers Hamilton's Financial Plan, Protective Tariffs, Emergence of Political Parties, Whiskey Rebellion, Proclamation of Neutrality and Judiciary Act 1789. My students were engaged during this assignment and performed very well on their district test. I will be happy to answer any questions you may have about this activity.
