This lesson can be split up between two days, or condensed into one depending on how quickly your class can get through the directions.
Use this lesson while learning about Georgia O'Keeffe or when learning about drawing different types of flowers.
I have used this lesson in K-2 and it turns out wonderfully. View the preview to see some student examples. Encourage your students to be creative and choose to either draw multiple small roses, or one giant rose. They will have a lot of opportunity to be creative after you teach them how to draw their first rose.
This can be a directed art activity with the teacher walking them through it, or the tutorial could be printed in color and passed out to the students for independent work.
What a fun way to learn about Georgia and her flowers!
