Product Description
This PowerPoint covers the 8th grade Georgia standard (2017 updated) on Juvenile Justice. It explores the difference in unruly and delinquent behaviors and why unruly behaviors are also called status offenses. One slide allows students to discuss how their awareness and consequences change as they mature. Included is a 21 question quiz that allows students to guess when their rights change (At what age can you get married without you drive a school bus? for example.)

The seven deadly sins have two slides, one a "light" version that still meets the standard and one that lists the actually "sins" if you want the discussion to go further. A slide also takes the juvenile process from intake through appeal. Finally, there are 8 scenarios that let students choose between unruly and delinquent behaviors; juvenile and adult delinquent behaviors.

Please Note: there are 2 hyperlinked hidden slides that contain teacher notes. These are slides 13 and 56.
