This is an 11 page interactive booklet on the the founding of Georgia. It is told in a story format,making it easy to follow and understand. It acts as a reading guide as it includes prompts after every 2 - 3 paragraphs. These prompts require students to critically think, answer open ended questions, make inferences, analyze maps, or to simply define an event or vocabulary word. Prompts are easy to find as they are highlighted and underlined. Students record the required information on a student handout, (included).

Topics include the Charter of 1732,reasons for the founding of the colony, life as a Georgia settler, War of Jenkins Ear, Battle of Bloody Marsh, Proclamation of 1763, and the Headright system.
