Product Description
This is a selected excerpt from a dead German soldier's diary.

It offers a first hand look at the changing German morale throughout the Battle of Stalingrad.

There are pictures to help students visualize the reading. College level reading.

I used this as a popcorn reading activity, and then I asked the students to write a couple paragraphs in response to it.

This makes for great preparation for EOCs, since many questions have large/ medium excerpts of historical language that is college-level.

Plus there is a couple "swear" words that, as we know, kids love to read out loud.

Make sure you set the margins in Word to "narrow" so that it will all fit the way it should.
