In this Halloween themed math resource students sort the task cards based on what place value position the underlined number is in. To help them sort the cards, included are place value mats (ones, tens, hundreds, thousands or ten thousands) to which they can sort the cards onto. They then record their answers on the worksheet provided. This resource can be broken down into 3 differentiated levels as follows:
Worksheet #1- includes ones, tens and hundreds-uses 20 of the task cards
Worksheet #2- includes ones, tens, hundreds and thousands-uses 28 of the task cards
Worksheet #3-includes ones, tens, hundreds thousands and ten thousands- uses all 36 of the task cards
Therefore, the task cards and mats can be printed as necessary depending on what level is appropriate for your students.
