Have you ever received a note from a parent on a tiny piece of paper? Or the back of a cereal box? Or it was missing key information? Mornings are busy for parents! Help them out by providing fill-in-the-blank dismissal forms for them to write on when their child needs to go home a different way or needs to leave early.
I print extra copies for each student. I then hand them out at Meet the Teacher Night. I also have extras on hand at Open House and Parent-Teacher Conferences. I encourage parents to place them on the refrigerator or in a central area, where they can be easily grabbed on a busy morning. Parents can make their own copies at home or request more from me throughout the year.
This product includes two sets of forms. There are blank ones for parents to fill in all the information themselves. There are also editable forms that allow you (as the teacher) to type in your name and your classroom number to make it even easier for parents and guardians to fill out.
I’ve found that this has not only helped parents, but myself and the school administrators as well. Having a simple, well-written note makes it easy to determine how a student should be leaving the classroom at the end of the day. It makes my teacher life a lot easier and a lot more organized!
