Back to School Season is right around the corner and it's time to figure out your syllabus, but where to start?? I've changed my syllabus every year since I've been teaching and I think I've finally nailed down all my policies and procedures.
In this free resource, there are two parts: part one is a great introduction to new junior high students. Jr. High is very different than elementary school, and this short guide helps to get your students off on the right foot. It's also a great reminder for returning students. In it, I cover topics such as where to find help with personal problems, what are some of the responsibilities of a jr. high student, and some time management tips and tricks. It is a great resource for parents and students alike.
In the second part, you get an up-front and personal look at what a seasoned syllabus looks like. You are welcome to use any of the ideas, and can even use the entire syllabus (there are a couple places where you may need to fill in some things, such as the grading scale because each district has a slightly different breakdown.)
There is also a set of task cards (that can be used for SCOOT!) that accompanies this resource in my store. https://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Back-to-School-Task-Cards-3934102
Let me know if there are any policies or procedures that I am missing in the comments below.
