This is a set of three recordings that I created for a movement activity I call "Get Up and Boogie." Students listen to the track and each time the music changes they have to get up and dance/move (boogie!) in the spots. There are numerous ways to vary the activity and the movements involved, and it can be used to teach critical listening skills, response to style changes and tempo changes, and just for overall fun! The tracks are loop-based and have a fairly clear beat to make it easier for students to follow. The changes get progressively more subtle from the first recording to the third. This is the first in what I hope to make an entire series of these recordings and activities.
