Brain breaks allow students time to refocus their attention. I have found that physical brain breaks that require students to get up and move are more beneficial because they give the students the opportunity to exert physical energy while taking a mental break as well (read my blog for more info).
In this pack you will find 22 quick and easy brain breaks (also a blank card for class developed brain breaks). Each has a brief explanation of how to execute. Please remember to explicitly teach each of the breaks in order to keep students on task as well as to keep everyone safe.
Examples: elbow/knee touch, class wave, hand jive, football feet, tree pose, secret message, etc.
Now, Get Up & Move!
