Use this resource at the beginning of the year or new semester to get to know fun things about your students. It can be used as an icebreaker or a discussion starter. It can be used in any subject area and is best suited for middle school or early high school classrooms. It comes in both English and Spanish.
There are six parts on the Odd One Out sheet. Each part has a circle with four sections. Students consider each of the four sections and color the section that does not match. (The part they color might not match because they love, hate, or fear it more than the others.) Writing in a complete sentence, they then explain why they chose their answers. Once students complete their Odd One Out sheet, they can discuss their answers with the class, small groups, or partners. An example sheet is included so teachers have an idea of how each part might be answered.
