The first day of school is a flash of introductions and paperwork. I like to take away information about my students by having them fill out a get to know you worksheet. to read over once the chaos has died down

This handout is designed to be fun and approachable for students. It includes fun, silly questions along with more informative ones. While these were designed for an art class, they can be used in any classroom setting (just leave out the art survey).

In addition to my two versions of a general get to know you sheet I also have a more in-depth introduction sheet and goal setting sheet for general classroom teachers, teachers with adviser or mentor groups, or a smaller class setting.

All in all the following are included:

➢Version 1 sheet: Find out about student's favorites (food, music) and have them draw whatever inspiration strikes them.

➢Version 2 sheet: Find out about student's favorites, more silly questions (superstar or superhero) and have them draw the place they want to be most right that moment.

➢Version 3 sheet: Fine out a basic bio about the student, fun facts, and favorites, have them draw their favorite animal.

➢General art survey

➢Goal setting sheet to focus on three goals

Tip: Add student's favorite song or band to a class playlist (as long as it's school appropriate) to play during the school day.
