Many teachers want to introduce and use TBE with their students, but they are a little hesitant as to how to do it or even how to get started. Well, wait no further!

This file is intended to be used to introduce the use of TBE to your students. In order to make this instruction useful for your students, I recommend scaffolding the instruction based on the need of your students.

This file is a GREAT way to get your students to write constructed responses in class while including TBE. I have used this same format for two years. The growth of the writing of my students is amazing!

Once your students have mastered the questions and responses with these passages, have them move on to their own novels.
