There's a superhero in town and you are a reporter for the local news! Or, maybe it is a visitor from the future! What questions will you ask? How will you report it on the 6 O'Clock news or in tomorrow's newspaper?
Students role play as reporters--and people being interviewed-- and ask questions and record answers. They practice listening, writing, reading, and introducing the visitor to the audience.
Includes reproducible interview pages with four scenarios. Can be a jumping off point for more in-depth research for role-playing a famous historical figure. Can strengthen study skills as students learn to take notes and formulate complete thoughts from notes.
Tested with 5th and 6th graders in an after-school program and they loved it!
