Reinforce practice on the concept of counting and writing backwards from numbers 10-0. Often, students are able to orally count backwards but writing or assembling numbers backwards causes difficulty. I designed this resource around the fun book, Ten Timid Ghosts due to it's counting backwards pattern. After reading, students can practice standing and walking backwards to count and follow up with this spooky craft.
It's a perfect bulletin board filler for the month of October, too! Print the pieces on fun and Halloween-ish colored paper and you're good to go!
Do your students need extra practice? If so, I've also included 20 numeral cards for students to practice arranging forward and backward - number line included. You can assess your students knowledge with the worksheet that's part of this craft set, too!
I hope this will hit just the spot for all your spooky backward counting needs in kindergarten this school year!
Thanks and please leave feedback! :)
