This lovable Halloween song can be used in both Kindergarten and 1st grade. You can choose which pages suit your needs. You get:
* MELODY: 3 pages of melody work. ........The first one deals with melodic line, where the YOU or a child can fly the hat wearing ghost from up in the stars down to his worm buddy on the ground as the class sings. Tap the moon and you will have 4 pitches of introduction and then a violin playing the so-mi melody. As you fly, the stars will twinkle in the night sky.
.......The second one deals with melodic line, and an animated ghost. He flies on the left for the first phrase and on the right for the second. Your children sing 'high' or 'low' as he flies.
.......The third one uses actual notation on a 3 line staff. The pitches are "so" and "mi" and colored blue and yellow. The words below are in white, but correlated to the pitch so that if a child taps all of the syllables that should be sung on "so" they will light up blue. The same for the "mi" syllables. Tap on the single star on the right and you will get a starting pitch and a child singing for your class to sing with.
*RHYTHM: 2 pages of rhythm work
.......The first page deals with two short sounds and one long sound. They are symbolized by two small stars and one large star. Students may drag the stars to the appropriate ghost beats to write the rhythm.
.......The second page deals with actual notation of titi and ta. The notation is at the bottom of the page. Students may drag the sticks to the appropriate ghost beats to write the rhythm.
.......In addition to the embedded accompaniment, you will find this page provides visual replication of xylophone bars which are labeled with blue and yellow stickers. When you tap the stickers, they will sound G and E. Your students may play xylophones along with a student at the board.
