Ghostly Giggles

My class is crazy for riddles!! Even my reluctant readers will work hard at reading them. That is why I created this fun little unit for Halloween Riddles.

This packet contains 3 different Halloween Riddle activities.

The first is a riddle and answer activity that can be used for a center or as a whole class game like I Have, Who Has? You can copy them onto regular paper or tagboard, cut out and laminate for durability. I chose to create them in color and black and white to save on colored ink. There are worksheets provided to write the answers to the riddles.

The second item is a printable book with Halloween riddles for kids to read and color. They can even add their own illustrations for the answers.

The final activity is a Pumpkin/Ghost Riddle Craft. Students write their joke on the front of a paper pumpkin. Then they write the answer on a paper ghost. The ghost peeks up out of the pumpkin to give the answer.

This unit is a fun way to get kids reading, writing and getting excited for this fun Holiday.
