I cannot put into words how much my students absolutely LOVED this project! Because this is an extremely hands-on project, students stay engaged for the entire lesson.
Students learn about the work of Alberto Giacometti and his minimalist sculptures. They then create their own sculpture out of wire and plaster gauze.
For my middle and high school students, we used wire hangers, but pipe cleaners would be a good substitution for younger grades.
**Safety note** Plaster should never go down a sink drain. Pour dirty water outside**
