This activity incorporates many of Marzano's six steps to learning new vocabulary! Students will define each word and discuss the connection to the visual representation, create a sentence using the word, and discuss a true/false question about each word. I love using this practice as a bell-ringer or focus activity during the week we cover The Gift of the Magi; however, this practice can be used as a stand-alone assignment or a review! My students always find this easy to review before a quick vocabulary quiz.
