This is a full 90 minute lesson with powerpoint notes, student handouts, and an image analysis activity.
Students are introduced to the age of urbanization in the Gilded Age and the impact of that urbanization.
Jacob Riis images are provided, allowing students to work in small groups to analyze the meanings and implications of the photographs. Includes a bellringer and exit slip for class prompting and assessment.
