I wanted to incorporate the story of Gilgamesh with my 9th graders, but I didn't have a lot of time, and our district wanted every reading to relate to the ACT/CCR skills bands. Therefore, I created this simple worksheet using reading skills in the 20-23 range. The texts for the worksheet include Wikipedia and a Youtube video. Or, if you've read the whole story, it still offers a worksheet that targets reading skills in 10 questions.
While most of my creations related to the skills bands were ACT-like quizzes, this one asks the same kinds of question in short-answer format. I used it as group work, but it can certainly be done individually. I include a link to the Google Document so that it can be filled out and turned in online, or you can use the Word version and print it off.
