*** This item goes along with my, "The Gingerbread Baby and Other Fairly Yummy Tales" Unit.
My Favorite part of the classic tale, "The Gingerbread Baby," by Jan Brett, is the ending. "I'm the Gingerbread Baby, as happy as can be to be living in the house that Matti made for me."
Let your students create their very own Gingerbread Baby houses with this fun holiday math craftivity. While making and designing their houses, students will also be putting their graphing skills to the test as they graph the materials that they use to decorate them with. Students will use their graphs to answer questions about the Gingerbread House that they designed for the Gingerbread Baby.
***Also included is a whole group Graphing Activity called: What We Ate First.
All you need is a gingerbread cookie for each student and you are all set to Create a Class Graph showing the parts of the Gingerbread Men that your students ate first. Students love this yummy Math Snack Graphing Activity.
These make an adorable hallway display!!! : )
