This is a fun game that my students beg me to play! It is a great way to practice the digraphs sh, th, ch, wh and is super fun for the holidays! It is also nice because all of my students can play no matter what holiday they celebrate during this season.
Print and cut out the cards. Please the cards in a pocket chart and hid the Gingerbread Man behind one of the houses. Students take turns reading the digraph word and taking it out of the pocket chart. If they find the Gingerbread Man hiding behind their card, they get to hid the Gingerbread Man for the next game!
I included two Gingerbread Men, one of them is a Santa and one is plain. Feel free to use what is best for your classroom.
This works great as a mini-lesson, Daily 5 station, or as a quick review game.
