Retelling the Sequence of Events to make a Gingerbread House with Using Realistic Pictures!
Hello! For this lesson, I used personal pictures of my daughter making a gingerbread house and purchased a few clip-art photos through www.kozzi.com.
For the sequence of events, I help my students fill-in the following words in order: first, second, next, then, after that and finally. In addition, I have the students fill in the following vocabulary words in order as required – directions, package, poured, blender, spread, decorated and complete.
After the students are done, I like to cut apart the story and have them sequence it!
I find that my students LOVE the realistic pictures!
This is a perfect lesson for after completing your gingerbread houses!
I encourage you to take pictures of you students completing their gingerbread houses and add it to the story or use this activity in conjunction with your own!
