What a fun way to incorporate Writing, a Glyph and Math!! We have always done Gingerbread house, but I had to find a new way to incorporate them that didn't involve actual food/candy.
Students use the Gingerbread House pieces to create an original Gingerbread House based off a survey of questions. Students then write an original creative piece to "SELL THAT HOUSE!".
Math~Each piece of the Gingerbread House is worth a certain value, students use task cards to calculate how much the house is worth. Answer Key included
Budget~ Students are given a set budget to build a house. Each piece of the house is worth a certain value. Students keep track of their budget on a worksheet and then give a grand total.
