This packet was written to work with all of the Common Core State Standards and then some! I created this pack to use with any version of Gingerbread Man or The Mitten—you can still teach the standards in your basal, but with the fun holiday story of your choice! This pack covers the Common Core State Standards for Reading Literature and will supplement every standard you teach! This pack of reading response sheets was made specifically for 1st grade, but high Kinders or struggling 2nd grade students can use these, as well. Corresponding standards in kid-friendly “I Can” style are listed in the upper left corner of each sheet so you can easily see which response sheet goes with each standard. Your administration can easily see this too, if they pop in to see what the students are working on.
