Gingerbread Mouse is one of my favorite stories to read during the holidays! After reading the story Gingerbread Mouse, students will summarize or retell the main events of the story. You may have them choose between writing the beginning, middle, and end of the story or write a summary of the entire story. They can then draw a picture of each event in the blank space above their writing.
Students will then use the decorations to decorate their own gingerbread house cover or use the cover that is already decorated. Last year my class had so much fun designing and creating their own gingerbread house using the cute candy decorations. Each one looked so different and cute!
