This number sense resource provides 5 fun and inviting gingerbread themed math centers for your little learners to practice numerals to 20. This packet includes:
• 2 horizontal ten frames clip card activities
• 1 vertical ten frames clip card activity
• 1 cookies (on baking sheets) count and clip activity
• 1 cookies (in an array) count and clip activity
These activities work well with gingerbread and Christmas themes. They are great for Morning Tubs, Early Finishers, Informal Assessment, and Take Home Practice.
Print, laminate, and cut out the clip cards. You will need to supply 104 clothespins for all 5 activities in this packet.
There is a math task and a choice of three numerals printed on each card. Learners clip a clothespin on the correct numeral for the task on the card or they can use dry erase markers to circle the correct numeral. You may opt to make these cards self-checking by writing the answer on the back or marking a dot on the back at the correct spot. Store the cards and clips in seasonal containers, supply boxes, or zippered binder pouches. You may also put the cards in a dollar store photo album and use a dry erase marker to make a write-on/wipe-off activity. Use an inexpensive black glove as an eraser.
These clip cards help learners develop numeracy and support the Math Common Core Standards for Counting and Cardinality. The activities are a great way to address subitizing and help your little learners attain number fluency.
Thank you for looking at this resource. I hope you and your learners enjoy these activities.
