We all need some fun, but educational activities for those last few days before winter break!
This is a little activity I made to review adding and subtracting to 20 with my firsties. It is a "walk the room" or "write the room" activity.
Included are 12 math problems, 6 addition and 6 subtraction (no regrouping). Each problems includes a little Gingerbread Pirate friend! They are all black and white so you don't have to waste color ink. I print them on red and green construction paper, laminate and they are ready! Make copies of the recording sheet and you've got a fun math activity.
The objective of the activity is to find all the gingerbread cards and record the math problem in the correct space on the matching recording sheet with the answer. Tape the gingerbread math problems all around the room to get your kids up and active!
**This would be a great activity to do after you read the book "Gingerbread Pirates". The kids would love to hunt the room for those silly pirates!
