Product Description
I use this folder game for my Kinder and 1st graders. Print out the pictures of the gingerbread people and glue inside a folder. Laminate the rhythm boxes, cut out, place inside a zip-lock bag and staple to the folder.

1. Students say all the gingerbread patterns, saying "gin-ger" on the picture of the two gingerbread people and "bread" on the picture on of the solo gingerbread man.
2. Students match the correct rhythm symbols (eighth note pairs or quarter notes) to the gingerbread people rhythms.
3. Students say the correct rhythm (I use "ta" for quarter notes and "titi" for eighth note pairs).
4. Students play each rhythm pattern on an instrument (I use rhythm sticks) and then place the rhythm back into the bag. This continues until the game is cleaned up.

I'm working on a few of these folder-games for younger grades. This is an example.
