This mini-unit includes resources to compare and contrast different versions of the Gingerbread Man story. In this unit, students will be exposed to a variety of different Gingerbread Man stories from around the world. A suggested book list is included. Students will take notes, compare and contrast using a Venn-diagram, and collect and represent data using a graph.
This mini-unit addresses the following Common Core standards:
Ask and answer such questions as who, what, where, when, why, and how to demonstrate understanding of key details in a text.
Compare and contrast two or more versions of the same story (e.g., Cinderella stories) by different authors or from different cultures.
Draw a picture graph... to represent a data set with up to four categories.
