These gingerbread-themed play dough mats were created to provide students with extra teen number identification and counting practice. They are the perfect math center activity to accompany your gingerbread unit!
This product contains one play dough number mat for each of the numbers 11 through 20. Each mat has a gingerbread cookie with a specific number on it, as well as two ten frames. Students should place a corresponding amount of play dough pieces in the frames to match the number on the gingerbread cookie. Each mat also has a “picture key” of peppermint candies which can be used to check their work or identify the number if they are unsure (students can count the candies to figure out the teen number).
Directions for Use: To prepare the play dough mats for your math center, simply print and laminate the mats for durability. Once at the center, students will select one mat at a time to use. They will identify the teen number on the gingerbread cookie, or count the peppermints to help them identify the number. Students can then roll pieces of play dough and place them in the ten frames to match the number on their mat.
