The Gingerbread tree map- students choose words to go under each verb (is, can, looks). After they have written a word for each, they can complete their sentence stem.
Elements of a story- students will identify each element and write it on the tree map.
Sequencing- Students write the events in sequence.
Syllable Sort - Students sort story words into 1-2-3 syllable count

Sentence or Not? - Students sort sentence strips into a sentence or not tree map.
Ginger bubble map- Students use adjectives to describe the Gingerbread man.

Missing! - A writing activity where students create a missing poster for the cookie and describe him.
Run Run Run game board- Students play with a partner, roll a die to help the cookie escape. The player to get to the finish wins. Students solve sums as they go.
Missing numbers- Students fill in the missing number.
Counting by 5’s and 2’s-
Odd even sort- students cut the gumdrops and sort into their odd/even tree map.
How tall? – Students use their gumdrops cutouts to measure the objects.
