This chore chart can be used in a lesson about responsibility. Talk with students about their responsibilities. What things are they responsible for at school? Home? With friends? In what ways can they show they are responsible? Then, talk with kids about how they can be more responsible around their home by having tasks they are in charge of. Next, use the attached file. Students each create their own customized chart by typing their name in the name textbox. They select from 10 characters to represent themselves in the top left corner. Finally, they choose from 20 chores/tasks to add to their chart. The chores are off to the left and right side of the work area so the ones they don't choose won't be printed. Parents can make copies of the finished product for weekly use and Mom and Dad can decide what to write at the bottom (i.e. 35 points or checks= a movie rental, 50 points= a new book). Chores are as simple as brush teeth, comb hair to vacuuming.
