Product Description

Students will develop their craft of drawing with line, shape, and value by studying and creating different glass and objects still life compositions. They will play with layout as well as shadows and highlights. Some students may be ready for colored pencils (make sure they avoid just filling in with one value of color as in a coloring page). Students will learn about historic still life artists like Paul Cezanne and more recent everyday object artists like Danny Gregory. Paul Cezanne painted hundreds of landscapes and still life compositions. He was coined as saying all things in nature can be seen as a cylinder, sphere, or cone meaning that all objects can be broken down into the smaller shapes and forms. Step by Step instructions, examples, Paul Cezanne history facts, Danny Gregory drawing challenge list
