GLENCOE MATH TEST SCRAPER: GlencoeTestScraper
Requires: Microsoft Word 2016 on Windows
HIGHLY RECOMMENDED: Watch the YouTube video demo at:
Glencoe Math provides Word versions of its assessments, which are composed almost entirely of textboxes and shapes. This test scraper utility allows you to delete certain textboxes from the document, so that the leftovers are easier to manipulate if you need to edit the tests. This version of the test scraper can identify and remove multiple choice answers, numbered answer lines, question numbers, titles, headings and footers. The leftovers can be copied to a new file as text or as textboxes.
The tool has been tested with assessments from Glencoe Math Course 3 – and may be less effective on files from other Glencoe courses.
Note: The Selection Pane from the Word layout ribbon is tremendously helpful when trying to edit a Word file with a lot of textboxes, pictures, shapes, and groups.
